Established 2002

Etemad Gallery is currently known as one of Iran’s leading commercial galleries, specializing in contemporary and modern Iranian art. In addition to representing and exhibiting young and established artists, the gallery provides a platform to discuss contemporary artistic practice through talks and projects.

The gallery has been successful in collaborating with the most talented and prolific artists of the Iranian art scene and is dedicated to presenting important and thought provoking artworks that inspire and captivate.

Etemad Gallery was founded in 2002 by Mina and Amir Hossein Etemad. Before moving to Paris in 1980, Mina Etemad worked alongside renowned architect and director of TMoCA, Kamran Diba, and many prominent figures of the art world.

After its successful inauguration in Northern Tehran in 2002, Etemad expanded its operations internationally, temporarily opening one of the largest art spaces in Dubai from 2010-2015.

In 2018 the gallery moved to its current location, a 3 story building renovated by architect Firouz Firouz, in the heart of Tehran’s cultural hub.
